Shipment One: 50 Oxygen Concentrators

  • Raised total $42,212. $34,266 of this amount was from UCMS Alumni and $7,946 from Sacramento Indian Community.
  • Purchased 50 devices (5 Liters/min models) for $28,350 from a FDA-registered, New York based medical device company. This price included GST and Shipping costs.
  • The devices were delivered to Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital in two batches: 15 devices on May 9th and 35 devices on May 13th. Read this letter of receipt from Dr. Manish Narang, President, UCMS Alumni Association for the first consignment.
  • Balance: $13,862

Shipment Two: 192 Oxymizers

  • Oxymizers are disposable oxygen conservation devices that offer oxygen therapy patients a comfortable alternative to using an oxygen mask. Oxymizer Conservers can be used while oxygen patients eat, drink or talk. We purchased the ‘Pendant Oxymizer‘ that can be used with a continuous oxygen flow of up to 15 LPM. This Pendant Oxymizer features a reservoir that can be worn under clothing. They are compatible with oxygen concentrators, compressed oxygen cylinders and liquid oxygen.
  • Manufactured by Drive Medical. Item number P-224. They deliver an oxygen conserver ratio of 4:1.
  • Invoice: $2,400. Shipping cost: $783
  • Paid using the balance remaining after Shipment One.
  • Shipped on May 14th, 2021.
  • Balance: $10,679¬†was donated to United Visions International on behalf of UCMS alumni for Shipment Three.

Shipment Three: 50 Oxygen concentrators

  • Successfully raised $87,250 (includes balance from Shipment Two) in collaboration with United Visions International, a 501(c)(3) registered in California.
  • Order for 50 devices (5L model) was placed on May 20th 2021 for $37,500.
  • They were delivered in Delhi on May 25th, 2021. All were donated by May 28th, 2021.
  • Distribution plans were executed under the leadership of Dr. Vaibhav Jain. Recipients were selected based on support applications gathered via our PFI support form. If you’d like more details on how many devices were sent where, please email us.
  • Balance: $49,750. Please note that some funds will be used in transport logistics, disinfection costs. We will update those details after Shipment Four.

Shipment Four: 50 Oxygen concentrators

  • Shipment Three was an order for 50 devices (5L model) placed in the Week of June 1, 2021 for $37,500.
  • Units were delivered in Delhi on June 12, 2021. All were donated by 23 June, 2021.
  • Distribution plans were executed under the leadership of Dr. Vaibhav Jain. Recipients were selected based on support applications gathered via our PFI support form. If you’d like more details on how many devices were sent where, please email us.
  • Balance of $12,250 was donated to CanKids India. This was done on behalf of a donor who requested refund (they had donated in hopes of getting 10L model but PFI was unable to procure that model).

Shipment Five: Two Ventilators

  • In early June 2021, PFI was entrusted with donation of two ventilators from a corporate donor.
  • They were donated on June 16, 2021 to Philadelphia Mission Hospital in Ambala, City, Haryana.
